We welcome back FPC’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, which serves 300+ of our most vulnerable neighbors on the day of Thanksgiving. This will be served delivery only again this year for health and safety reasons (and will also be the first year in 9 years that Rev. Beilke will not be coordinating meal service on the day of Thanksgiving, so we are looking for volunteers to step into this leadership role! It is a truly an inspiring ministry to work with all the donors, volunteers, vendors, farmers, and chefs in our community that come together to care for those who are alone or in need on the holiday.)

On November 6th @ 6pm , OutHudson, Spotty Dog Books and Ale and the Hudson Area Library present AIDS historian, Sarah Schulman, to showcase her new book Let the Record Show, which is also being adapted into a TV series with a moderated talkback from a local former ACT UP member. Hope you can join us!

On Sunday, 17 October 2021 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, faith and environmental communities join forces in a walk across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge between Catskill and Hudson.

Rev. Beilke will be leading a delegation from FPC, but please RSVP individually so that GreenFaith can estimate the size of the gathering. Please also bring a small drum or a tambourine, bell, signs or banners to enrich our witness!

Assemble at 3:30: two groups will assemble - one on each end of the bridge - for a brief statement of purpose (we will gather on the Hudson side)
Walk at 3:50: both groups will begin walking toward the center of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
Reflection at 4:15: when both groups connect at the middle, we will stop for a moment of silence followed with the sound of drums, tambourines, and bells.
Walk at 4:25: both groups will return to their beginning points.
Assemble 4:50: both groups will assemble - one on each end of the bridge - for a brief benediction.

Suggested donations range from $75-$500 and includes food, wine, and a show! Get creative with your saints and sinners costume to take a photo at the step-and-repeat with our special guests!

Join us as we conclude our 8 week period of Congregationtal Discernment, which began on April 18th. The theme is “Telling Our Story: Past, Present, and Future”.

Dr. David Vorhees will be giving a presentation on the history of the church.

Kiss the Ground is a full-length documentary that explores the possibilities regenerative agriculture has to offer for carbon sequestration, land and water conservation, and reversing the tide of global climate change.
